Armed Security Officer Campus Security

### Job Summary: Security Officer Armed -- Monday- Fridays 8:00 am -3:15 pm
We are looking for a dedicated Security Officer to join our team and ensure a safe and secure environment. The role involves monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling premises, and responding to security incidents promptly.

### Duties:
- Monitor surveillance systems for any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Patrol the premises to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard individuals and property.
- Respond to alarms, investigate disturbances, and handle security incidents effectively.
- Enforce company policies to maintain order and security within the premises.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing security-related concerns of students, clients and employees.
- Maintain accurate records of security activities through detailed incident reports.

### Skills:
- Possession of CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage conflicts or challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is a plus.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or recipient of GED
• Previous experience in security, military or law enforcement is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office programs, preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
• Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances.
• Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potentially stressful and time sensitive situations.
• Possess good problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
