- Conducts research and development in new training technologies and leads in the implementation of new technologies where they are shown to be the best value.
- Assists in the development of program guidance materials and statements of policy in assigned program areas.
- Approves and/or initiates the selection, promotion, transfer, detail, commendation, training and discipline of subordinate supervisory personnel.
- Evaluates subordinate supervisory positions; makes and/or approves selections for subordinate positions; and hears and resolves serious employee complaints.
