Logistics Management Specialist.

Duties

• Serves as a senior Military Service Logistical Representative supporting Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization program requirements for petroleum facilities and fuel infrastructure.
• Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates the execution of assigned SRM programs and projects.
• Provides cradle-to-grave project management support, including planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects.
• Reviews program plans, project requirements, milestones, schedules, funding, and performance data to ensure program goals and customer requirements are met.
• Coordinates with DLA, Military Service, major command, installation, contractor, and other stakeholder representatives to support program execution.
• Evaluates SRM survey results, facility conditions, projected requirements, and Service needs to determine work required to sustain, restore, modernize, or demolish petroleum facilities.
• Identifies obstacles, risks, and resource issues affecting program execution and develops recommendations for corrective action.
• Prepares briefings, reports, recommendations, and status updates regarding program progress, issues, risks, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
• -Managing, monitoring, evaluating, or coordinating logistics programs or projects related to petroleum facilities, fuel infrastructure, sustainment, restoration, modernization, military construction, or similar facility support requirements.
• Analyzing program plans, project requirements, milestones, schedules, funding, performance data, or operational impacts to identify issues, risks, and corrective actions.
• Applying logistics management principles, policies, procedures, or regulations to support petroleum, fuel infrastructure, facility sustainment, or similar program requirements.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support program execution and prepare briefings, reports, recommendations, or status updates for leadership.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Drug-Free Workplace Policy

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing.

Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test. The DLA drug testing panel tests for the following substances: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, heroin, phencyclidine, amphetamines, methamphetamines, fentanyl, norfentanyl, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and opioids.
