**Major Duties**
- As an Assistant Director of Human Resources you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage a team of Human Resources (HR) specialists servicing multiple DLA and DoD customers.
- Provide expert technical advice on a wide variety of human resources issues.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, guidance, procedures and HR programs to include multiple HR disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with overarching policies serviced agencies, DoD, OPM and Executive Orders as well as consonance with basic laws.
- Serve as a DLA representative to negotiate service agreements with DoD serviced customers.
- Manage metrics established within the service agreements and recommend changes/deviations when required.
- Ensure that culture within the organization is healthy and recommend and implement programs and events to strengthen the overall organizations climate, recognizing that a strong culture climate is instrumental in an effective organization.
- Write authoritative documents, decision papers, and correspondence.
- Develop and deliver briefings on controversial and non-controversial HR matters.
- Serve as a focal point in organizational culture issues.
