This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising the development, coordination, publication and maintenance of HR policy for NAF civilian employees worldwide.

- Planning, implementing, and evaluating HR programs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance with Non-Appropriated Fund Civilian HR policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and direction in defining and managing HR policies and accountability activities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, ensuring technical accuracy and providing factual narrative evaluations.
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in all interpersonal interactions.
Responsibilities:
As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (NAF Policy) at the GS-0201-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:- Responsible for the strategic direction, oversight, and administration of all NAF personnel programs for the entire Department of Defense (DoD) civilian workforce.
- Leads the development, implementation, and interpretation of all DoD-wide NAF personnel policies.
- Briefs senior officials on complex issues and responds to high-level engagements with OPM, Congress, other federal agencies, and private industry.
- Evaluates proposed legislation and regulatory changes to determine their impact on NAF employees and programs.
- Establishes performance objectives, conducts evaluations, provides advice and counsel to employees, reviews the work of subordinates to ensure completion, adequacy, and quality.
