Position Summary

Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to manage payroll processes and benefit administration for employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll, employee benefits, and maintaining confidentiality, with a strong focus on compliance and accuracy.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of payroll systems, benefits administration, and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Maintain and update payroll records.
Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
  • Answer employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with benefits regulations and assist with annual enrollment.
Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure payroll compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in payroll audits and prepare reports for management.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and benefits regulations.
Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and benefits regulations.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in government contracting or defense-related payroll.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits platforms.

  • Professional office environment (or hybrid/remote if applicable).

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance may be required.
