Responsibilities:
A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation ofNurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and you must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination.

Responsibilities:
Duties
- Make recommendations regarding the well-being of mother and infants for normal and high-risk obstetrical/gynecology patients.
- Assess patients and family's health care and psychosocial needs.
- Delivers lactation care within accepted standards and provides antepartum/postpartum breastfeeding consultations.
- Collaborates with clinical experts/resources to identify learning needs and implement training programs to develop clinical comfort, confidence and competency.
- Evaluates treatment regimens and facilitates improved patient care in a cost-effective manner.
- Assists patients with interpretation of physical exams and/or laboratory reports and alerts providers to significant changes or abnormalities.
- Identifies subtle changes in patient's condition and provides insight information to physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
