- Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
- Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.

To qualify for a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Reviewing contracts and technical data packages to identify the specification requirements which the contractor's process must meet.
- Designing, planning and implementing an effective risk management program to ensure that all threats to the successful delivery of the contract are addressed and mitigated in the Government's best interests.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

- Selectee may be required to serve a trial/probationary period.
- Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (AT&L) NON-CAP: Position requires DoD Acquisition Engineering and Technical Management, Foundational certification within required timeframes. - This position is designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, incumbent will be subject to deployment on a TDY basis to overseas duty location(s) to perform assigned duties particular to the deployment. Failure to deploy when required and/or meet the medical requirements of deployment status may result in separation from Federal Service. Additional information on E-E positions may be found in DoD Directive Type Memorandum 17-004, Subject: Department of Defense Expeditionary Civilian Workforce.
