What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisory Store Associate position at Defense Commissary Agency?
Serves as the Supervisory Store Associate in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) location. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the second line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store. The incumbent is fully responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.

Qualifications:
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of experience (specialized experience) equivalent to at least GS-7. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.Specialized Experience:
- Plans, directs, or assigns work for employees.
- Knowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction, and conduct on the job training for workers.
- Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations.
Additional Requirements that must be met by the closing date:

Responsibilities:
Responsibility includes supervision of all store associates assigned to the store, as well as the sales store checkers and tellers, whose duties involve customer service, cashiering, stocking, merchandising, inventory control, ordering, contractor monitoring, security, safety, sanitation, bagging and curb side pickup.- Front end operations including patron identification, customer inquiries, check out and cash control.
- Non-perishable stock control including transporting items and stocking shelves.
- Meat display and case stocking.
- Produce inspection, display and rotation.
- Account maintenance, supply and computer operations.
