This position serves as the second line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary store. The incumbent is fully responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operations.

Qualifications:
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume must clearly show that you have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7. Experience can be under other Federal service pay systems, private sector, or military.- Planning, directing or assigning work for employees.
- Knowledge of multiple departments within a grocery store in order to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workers.
- Carry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operations.

Responsibilities:
Serves as the first line Supervisor for Store Associates.- Directs the following work in multiple areas of the commissary.
- Front end operations including patron identification, customer inquiries, check out and cash control.
- Non-perishable stock control including transporting item and stocking shelves.
- Meat display and case stocking.
- Produce inspection display and rotation.
