Summary:
DAS Services is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist (Journeyman level) to support software development projects by developing and implementing configuration management (CM) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software configuration auditing, version control, and baseline management, along with hands-on experience using CM tools and scripting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management (CM) Plans.
- Audit software change procedures, development, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with CM plans and procedures.
- Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and software product evaluations.
- Ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of software baselines across systems.
- Manage code repositories, conduct audits, and support documentation control for software projects.
- Utilize CM tools such as JIRA, Puppet, Confluence, GitHub, and scripting languages to automate processes.
- Support and enhance CM practices within DevSecOps and Agile environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: Active Secret required.
- Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or other relevant Engineering or Technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant CM experience within the last 4 years.
- Tools & Skills:
- Proficiency with CM tools (e.g., JIRA, Puppet, GitHub, Confluence).
- Experience with scripting for automation and process improvement.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps environments.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with federal or defense software development and CM standards.
- Understanding of secure code development and related compliance requirements.
