About the Role
Defense Acquisition Support Services LLC (DAS), an SBA-certified Woman-Owned Small Business supporting Government program offices since 2007, is seeking a Program Manager to lead a 9-person cross-functional team supporting a federal agency headquarters business office in Washington, DC. The team delivers budget execution and financial management, executive coordination, data analytics and Power BI dashboards, process improvement, and administrative mission support. As the PM on this effort, you serve as the primary point of contact with the Government, owning contract management, staffing oversight, workload prioritization, quality management, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary interface with the Contracting Officer, COR, and Government leadership, from kickoff through monthly status reporting
- Lead, prioritize, and reallocate a cross-functional team as mission priorities shift
- Oversee quality and timeliness of all deliverables, including financial reporting, dashboards, and executive products
- Manage staffing, onboarding, and backfill to keep every seat filled
- Support strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication across the office
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field OR active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Minimum 7 years of direct project management experience, including at least 3 years managing large-scale government contracts or complex financial management projects
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams, managing budgets over $3M, and delivering within tight timelines under regulatory constraints
- Proven track record in strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication in a government or financial services environment
Preferred
- Federal financial management experience (budget execution, reconciliation, spend plans) in a federal ERP environment
- Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms
- Department of Commerce or federal civilian agency experience
