Defender Services is seeking a WAREHOUSE LEADER for a manufacturing plant in SPINDALE, NC.
Shift: Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM Some weekends if needed
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to meet operational targets.
Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a productive team environment.
Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely for heavy lifting tasks while maintaining mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies across all warehouse activities.
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year experience in supervising a team
Strong knowledge of inventory management
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate forklifts safely; familiarity with materials handling equipment is essential.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and shipping & receiving documentation.
Effective team management capabilities including training, motivating staff, and resolving conflicts professionally.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
Must be able to squat, bend, reach, push, pull, stand, walk, and lift 40 pounds during the entire shift
