Since 1965, DeFelsko Corporation has been a leading U.S. manufacturer of coating thickness gauges and inspection instruments. We are looking for a Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, support product quality, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Partner with Design Engineers to develop and implement new processes.
- Develop safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and support regulatory compliance.
- Create work instructions and production fixtures.
- Monitor receiving inspection data and adjust sampling plans as needed.
- Evaluate supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience/certifications.
- 3β10 years of experience in Process, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, and multimeters.
- Knowledge of statistical sampling methods and Gage R&R.
- Strong technical writing and process documentation skills.
- Experience with machining and/or plastic injection molding is a plus.
- Six Sigma, CMfgE, CQE, or PMP certifications are a plus.
