· Interact with patrons, clients, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and customer service oriented manner.
· Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
· Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
· Perform your job according to standard operating procedures.
· Read, understand and follow all policies, procedures and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook.
· Implement resort/marina safety and emergency policies and procedures (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards, following OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques.
· Utilize protective equipment, when applicable.
· Promptly report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to supervisor
· Promptly report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor.
· Keep accurate communication flowing freely among all hotel departments.
· Inform management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints.
· Maintain professional, amicable relationships with all resort departments, managers, and staff, as well as vendors, and community and professional contacts.
· Promote excellent guest service throughout the resort by demonstrating friendly, courteous and helpful attitudes toward all guests.
· Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.
Qualifications:
· Able to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuous basis with or without an accommodation.
· Able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
· Able to perform functions such as mopping, sweeping and scrubbing using repetitive motions of the arms and upper body.
· Able to tolerate hot/cold temperatures for long periods of time.
· Able to tolerate exposure to chemicals using supplied safety equipment; e.g. rubber gloves.
· Able to communicate in English, preferably bilingual.
