Overview
The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy and empowered individual who will proactively provide constant support to the Housekeeping team.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information.
- Clean and service guest rooms, including but not limited to:
- Changing bed linen and making beds
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuum carpets and rugs
- Empty wastepaper baskets and ashtrays
- Transport dirty linen
- Dust and polish surfaces and furniture
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Ensure mini bar standards are upheld
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Return and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
- Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times
- Any other duties as assigned
Skills
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised.
- Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience working in a housekeeping environment
- Experience in a hotel is a plus.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism in all interactions/situations.
- Reliable and have a sense of urgency.
- Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.

The Pay rate for this position is $29.90 to $39.87 per hour subject to IWA increases.
