The Junior Network Engineer Intern will assist the IT and network engineering teams in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization’s network systems. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and other networkingdevices.
- Help monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support the team in managing VPN connections, LAN/WAN environments, and wireless networks.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and updates.
- Participate in network assessments, audits, and security checks.
- Provide general IT support to staff under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Research and recommend improvements to optimize network performance.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with network tools such as Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, or SolarWinds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with a professional engineering team.
- CompTIA Network
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – in progress or completed
- CompTIA Security
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level networking technologies.
