We are seeking an experienced Analytics Leader to drive our statistical modeling capabilities within the pharmaceutical marketing landscape. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in media and marketing data to develop advanced models that quantify the impact of non-personal promotion (NPP), media investments, and digital engagement. The ideal candidate is a true "player-coach" who thrives on balance - seamlessly pivoting between hands-on technical modeling, strategic collaboration with account teams, and the mentorship of junior analysts to foster the next generation of data talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with media strategists, account leads, and client teams to identify optimization opportunities and guide client marketing investment decisions
- Develop attribution methodologies that connect promotional investments to prescribing and usage behavior at the HCP or audience‑segment level
- Build and maintain advanced statistical models (regression, time series, causal inference, media mix models) to evaluate the impact and ROI of non‑personal promotional channels
- Analyze large and often imperfect pharmaceutical datasets, flexing to client‑specific data transparency and quality constraints
- Translate model outputs and analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for marketing, media, and client teams
- Mentor analytics team members in statistical best practices, coding standards, model development, and documentation
- Establish and evolve data science best practices to create repeatable, scalable modeling frameworks across clients
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure clean data pipelines which support analytics needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare marketing sectors is required
- 10 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics
- Experience leading teams preferred
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in statistical modeling, including regression, time‑series, causal methods, and media mix modeling
- This leader understands the realities of pharmaceutical data constraints and is comfortable flexing between sophisticated statistical work and more foundational analytics when client data availability is limited
- Deep familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing data, including Rx, HCP-level activity data, audience targeting
- Hands‑on skills with SQL and Python or R for data extraction, transformation, modeling, and automation
- Ability to work with varying levels of data transparency and completeness across different pharma clients
- Solid understanding of media performance, measurement frameworks, and pharma promotional compliance considerations
- Experience analyzing large, multi‑source datasets and building model-ready data structures
- Strong communication skills to translate technical outputs into clear business insights for internal and client stakeholders
- Ability to coach and mentor junior team members in analytics and modeling
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with media platforms and planning tools and frameworks
- Experience building automation or reusable analytical frameworks
- Exposure to cloud analytics environments (e.g., Azure)
