Your Responsibilities
As an Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracts for Deere & Company World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, or Des Moines, IA you will:
Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of agreements related to the purchase of goods and services
Provide legal advice and guidance on commercial contract matters to the Supply Chain organization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address commercial contract disputes
Coordinate with law department and business colleagues, domestically and globally, to ensure compliance with internal risk and applicable law
Work with Supply Chain to develop and maintain commercial contract templates and playbooks
Develop and provide legal training to the Supply Chain organization, and work to ensure adherence to corporate policies

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of relevant experience in commercial contracts pertaining to the transaction of goods and services
Advanced knowledge of UCC-2 and purchase of goods commercial agreements
Service agreement negotiation and drafting experience
Experience handling supplier disputes
General knowledge of security, privacy, and artificial intelligence laws
Ability to understand and integrate details of the business and work with cross functional teams
Ability to effectively communicate complex legal principles to people without a law background
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment addressing a broad range of commercial legal matters
Familiarity with CLM systems for contract negotiation and management
Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out
5 or more years of relevant experience in commercial contracts pertaining to the purchase of goods and services
Familiarity with intellectual property laws
Experience negotiating and drafting technology agreements such as Software as a Service (SaaS)
Experience leveraging artificial intelligence technology in contract research, negotiation, and drafting
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Juris Doctorate from a U.S. accredited institution, in good standing, and licensed to practice law in one or more U.S.States
Ability to become licensed as in-house counsel in Iowa or Illinois
