Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention and advanced life support on scene and during transport
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses
- Manage airway patency through airway management techniques and administer oxygen therapy as needed
- Perform critical care interventions in accordance with protocols
- Operate emergency medical equipment effectively while maintaining safety standards during patient care and transport
- Collaborate with hospital staff for seamless patient handoff and continued care
- Drive emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and heavy lifting protocols to ensure patient safety during transport
Skills
- Proven experience in critical care environments
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and urgent care procedures
- Skilled in patient assessment, triage, and emergency medicine practices with a focus on airway management and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with critical care transport services
- Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while maintaining aseptic technique standards
- Valid Paramedic certification
- Excellent driving skills with a clean record; capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks in urgent situations
