Reports To: OwnerPosition OverviewDeer Creek Exteriors, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Construction Estimator to perform material take-offs and compare estimates with purchase orders. This position supports Operations by ensuring that all quantities, materials, and costs are accurate, verified, and consistent across exterior construction projects.Key Responsibilities· Perform material take-offs from architectural drawings for roofing, siding and windows.· Compare take-offs to purchase orders to verify material quantities, pricing, and accuracy.· Identify and report discrepancies or variances between estimated and actual materials.· Assist in developing and maintaining project cost estimates, project budgets, and documentation.· Support the preparation of bids, proposals, and material lists for new projects.· Maintain organized digital estimating files and reports.· Provide administrative support to the Project Manager as needed.Qualifications· High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred.· Basic understanding of construction drawings, measurements, and materials.· Strong math and analytical skills with close attention to detail.· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with estimating or take-off software is a plus.· Strong organizational and communication skills.Company DescriptionDeer Creek Exteriors is a family-owned and operated exterior construction company proudly serving Maryland and the surrounding areas.
