Experience & Skill Requirements
- Eye for biblical and theological accuracy according to DeepRoots’ theological philosophy
- 1 years professional experience or a college degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- A basic understanding of marketing strategies, language, and advertisement design principles
- Strong writing skills (marketing copy and audience-specific messaging)
- Excellent grammar, clarity, and attention to detail
- Comfortable learning and navigating digital platforms
- Willingness to understand the purpose behind marketing initiatives and execute tasks accordingly
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident speaking with partners (customers)
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Able to be flexible and pivot quickly when new priorities arise
- Good file organization skills
- Close attention to detail and a drive for excellence with the ability to recognize when “good enough” is good enough

Responsibilities
Marketing Writing and Messaging
- Write compelling marketing copy (social posts, email campaigns, landing page copy, promotional materials, marketing video scripts)
- Write ministry-focused, encouraging content in a warm, direct, and genuine tone ○ Write specifically to teachers and administrators, understanding what matters most to them
- Adapt tone depending on context (sales vs. encouragement vs. informational)
Social Media Management
- Develop and publish content that speaks directly to educators and administrators ○ Use templates and graphic design tools to create posts and short-form videos ○ Engage with followers and aligned accounts
- Track engagement and assist in monitoring performance
Email Marketing
- Coordinate the email campaign process from drafting to distribution
- Write or edit copy for email campaigns
- Help build and maintain email lists within the email marketing platform ○ Assist with audience segmentation
- Track open rates, click-through rates, and engagement metrics
Visual Content Support
- Help maintain brand consistency across channels
- Use templates and design tools to support visual content creation
- Demonstrate strong visual judgment
Events and Partner Engagement
- Represent the organization at conferences and conventions alongside other team members
- Assist in gathering feedback and insights from partners
- Support efforts to build positive relationships with partners
Website Support
- Assist in building and updating website pages in WordPress
- Update existing content and support ongoing website improvements
- Help ensure information is clear and accessible for partners and prospective partners
Basic Data and Analytics
- Track basic marketing metrics across platforms
- Assist in gathering partner feedback and insights
- Help organize marketing data and reports

Education requirements:

Physical Requirements:

- The ability to see details at close range and to hear and speak clearly to communicate with colleagues and clients.
Working Conditions:
- Works remotely from home
- Occasional in-person meetings, filmings, school visits, etc. required
- May be required to work overtime
- Must be able to multitask
- Employees who are required to drive for company business must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record. If an incident or accident occurs, insurance claims are to be directed to the employee’s primary vehicle insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
