About the Company
A high-growth technology firm reshaping the global insurance sector by automating complex workflows across sales, servicing, and claims. They began with advanced voice automation and now focus on full end-to-end workflow automation using reasoning-driven agentic systems built to handle the full breadth of insurance operations.
Location - Boston, MA or Berkeley, CA. Hybrid schedule with two days on-site each week.
The Role:
They’re looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to lead major Generative AI initiatives. You’ll design and build LLM-driven conversational and automation systems that overhaul how insurance work gets done. This is a hands-on role for someone who can set direction, own execution, and push technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
- To design and build GenAI conversation workflows across chat, voice, and SMS using multi-agent systems and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Create scalable evaluation pipelines for enterprise AI and ML solutions.
- Work with ML engineering to deploy, operate and refine large-scale AI systems.
- Partner with product teams to shape user journeys, build feedback loops and interpret telemetry.
- Deliver full-stack AI product experiences tailored for insurance-specific use cases.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience building and scaling GenAI or agentic systems.
- Strong grounding in ML algorithms and evaluation methods, including deep learning frameworks, supervised LLM fine-tuning and domain-specific preference optimisation.
- Demonstrated application of trustworthy AI practices alongside cross-functional teams.
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
