Job Description:
The Team Leader is mentoring team members, ensuring that they understand and adhere to our high standards of ecological stewardship and artistic vision. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to inspire and motivate the team to achieve excellence in all aspects of landscape design and maintenance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for creating beautiful and sustainable outdoor spaces.
Team Member is responsible for completing work efficiently under The Team Leader's supervision, managing time well, and communicating effectively with the team leader and Lead Horticulturalist.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Alongside trained horticulturalists, you will work to maintain the design intent of all projects
- Maintain and care for existing client landscapes, employing proper horticulture planting techniques, pruning techniques, and detailed weeding.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on plant selection, care, and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
- Meticulous garden bed clean-up
- Meticulous edging, weeding, mulching
- Container arrangement
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about plants, trees, gardening, and the outdoors.
- Background in horticulture, professional gardening, design, build, install or related field experience are encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to work a full day with physical demands.
- Willingness to work in any weather conditions.
- Knowledge of plants, horticulture, and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of seasonal garden maintenance routines and function
- Alongside the lead horticulturist, you will work to maintain clear concise and punctual communication daily.
- Alongside team members, you will work together to maintain the integrity of the design for all projects daily.
