What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm Stand-Retail position at Deep Meadow Farm?

This is a full or part time position May through October. Prior experience with produce is helpful. Ability to be a resource for customers is useful. Customer relations Is a primary skill for this position. Weekend hours required
· Set up the stand in an attractive and accessible manner
· Communicate with staff on daily basis for information about inventory needs and changes in crop availability.
· Initiate ongoing self-education to increase knowledge of nutritional and culinary uses of produce.
· Maintains a safe working environment for self around equipment, tools and weather.
· Manage sales logs and inventory
· Complete daily harvest of required needs and transports to wash house in timely manner to be cleaned and prepared for sale
· Clean and care for store on a daily basis
· Work as needed to complete tasks around farm
· Manage required supplies relevant to job (change, paper, signage)
· Provide support in Pack-House as required.
· Has working familiarity of different types of crops
Performs any other task related to the operation of the farm; including but not limited to: seeding, watering, potting, packing, animal management
