Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will work directly with contractors, builders, homeowners, and other customers to understand their building projects, recommend the appropriate metal building products, prepare accurate estimates and quotes, and process sales orders.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction knowledge or experience selling construction materials. You should be comfortable reading measurements, calculating material requirements, interpreting building plans or drawings, and working with customers to ensure they receive the correct products for their projects.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, including contractors, builders, and homeowners.
• Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person in a professional and friendly manner.
• Identify customer needs and recommend the right metal roofing, siding, trim, and accessories for their project.
• Provide accurate product information, pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Prepare estimates, quotes, proposals, and sales orders.
• Follow up on quotes and sales opportunities to help grow company revenue.
• Resolve customer questions and issues promptly and professionally.
• Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service and product knowledge.

Construction & Product Estimating

• Use construction knowledge to understand customer projects and determine the materials required.
• Calculate material quantities and measurements for metal roofing, siding, walls, trim, and accessories.
• Read and interpret building plans, drawings, measurements, and customer specifications.
• Assist customers in determining the correct panel lengths, quantities, trim, fasteners, and other building components.
• Review orders for accuracy and identify potential measurement or product issues before manufacturing.
• Work with customers and the production team to ensure orders meet project requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of the company's metal building products, manufacturing capabilities, and installation requirements.

Order Processing & Office Support

• Accurately enter sales orders into the company system.
• Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and inventory records.
• Coordinate with production and shipping to ensure orders are completed and delivered on time.
• Assist with inventory availability and product lead-time questions.
• Maintain organized records of quotes, orders, and customer communications.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, estimating accuracy, and customer service.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required

• Construction experience or experience selling construction/building materials.
• Strong math skills and the ability to accurately calculate measurements and material quantities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good computer skills and the ability to learn sales and order-entry software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, dependable, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a religious workplace.

Preferred

• 3–5 years of inside sales, estimating, or customer service experience in construction or building materials.
• Experience with metal roofing, metal siding, trim, or metal building products.
• Experience working with contractors, builders, or homeowners.
• Ability to read construction drawings or building plans.
• Experience preparing material takeoffs, estimates, or quotes.
• Experience with manufacturing, order entry, or inventory systems.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in roofing, siding, construction estimating, building supply sales, or metal building products.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
