Job Summary
We’re hiring a hands-on Special Projects Operator to support operations and field execution. This role is ideal for someone with strong production/field operator experience who can safely operate equipment, troubleshoot in the field, and support fluid handling and special project work.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor all Special Project equipment and temporary systems (pumps, skids, tanks, transfers, hose/valve lineups).
- Perform rounds, record readings, spot abnormal conditions, and escalate issues early.
- Execute safe fluid transfers/offloads and maintain strong spill prevention/containment standards.
- Support startups/shutdowns and changing project priorities in the field.
- Perform basic operator maintenance (filters/strainers, lubrication checks, inspections).
- Submit clear work notifications/work orders and coordinate with Maintenance and I&E.
- Maintain shift logs and communicate status clearly to supervisors and team members.
Required
- 2 years’ production operations experience (oil & gas, midstream, water handling, SWD, treatment, or similar).
- Experience with pumps, valves, lineups, and fluid transfer operations.
- Strong safety mindset (JSA, LOTO, line-breaking awareness).
- Valid driver’s license: comfortable working outdoors and around rotating/pressurized equipment.
Preferred
- Produced water / SWD / treatment facility experience/Oi; recovery systems.
- Familiarity with temporary systems (frac tanks, rental pumps, layflat/HDPE, bypass piping).
- CMMS experience (eMaint or similar) and basic SCADA awareness.
