What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Lead, 2nd Shift position at Dee Zee, Inc?
The Line Lead 2 is responsible for directly overseeing multiple cells of assemblers, machine operators, or fabricators and the activities of production.

Accountabilities:
- Ensure all company policies are followed, including but not limited to, safety and quality.
- Lead and motivate different production crews over multiple lines to work in a unified manner.
- Lead and/or participate in production floor and quality meetings.
- Recommend and implement ways to improve team engagement, production processes, equipment performance, product quality and overall efficiency.
- Route goods to proper areas within the plant and stage materials at machines for operators.
- Verify pallet/crate/box tags are correctly labeled and identified.
- Assist with production while maintaining working knowledge of all equipment within the assigned area.
- Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and team engagement, and support continuous improvement across all areas.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to coordinate production workflow.
- Collaborate with quality, warehouse, and other teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience required.
- 1 year of leadership or Line Lead experience preferred.
- Must understand and follow forklift safety procedures and be able to obtain forklift certification through a company-provided test.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of all machines and tools on the assigned line, with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to lead others in a professional and effective manner.
- Ability to learn and use internal software systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- HIgh School Diploma or GED preferred.
