Duties
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various dog breeds to meet owner preferences and breed standards
- Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring safe restraint during grooming procedures
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance to promote overall health and hygiene
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide advice on pet coat styling and care routines
- Assist with animal handling tasks such as kennel cleaning, pet sitting, and managing animal behavior during grooming sessions
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area and ensure all tools are sanitized according to safety standards
- Support additional animal care duties as needed, including basic veterinary assistance or veterinary technician tasks if qualified
Skills
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals of different temperaments confidently
- Experience in pet grooming techniques, pet coat styling, and pet nail trimming
