  • Help connect blower equipment and manage electrical cords safely.
  • Inspect setup areas for debris, sharp objects, overhead hazards, and other potential risks.
  • Assist with deflating, folding, rolling, cleaning, and packing inflatables for storage and future rentals.

  • Help maintain accurate inventory and ensure all equipment and accessories are accounted for before leaving a job site.
  • Assist with keeping company equipment, tools, and storage areas clean and organized.

  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when interacting with customers, venue representatives, and fellow crew members.

  • Never improvise tent anchoring methods or bypass required inflatable safety procedures.

  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional early mornings or evenings.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions when it is safe to do so.
  • Able to follow instructions and interact respectfully with customers, families, children, and venue representatives.
  • Willing to learn proper equipment handling, installation, anchoring, and takedown procedures.

Previous experience in event setup, tent installation, inflatable rentals, moving, landscaping, construction, or warehouse work is preferred but not required.

A valid driver's license is preferred if driving duties may be assigned. Driving a company vehicle or towing a trailer requires separate authorization and any legally required licensing.

5. Physical and Working Conditions

This position involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment. Work may take place on grass, pavement, gravel, driveways, and other surfaces at customer properties and event venues.

Outdoor assignments are subject to weather conditions and the company's safety decisions.

6. Work Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time, on-call position. Work opportunities depend on business needs, confirmed bookings, and scheduled setup or takedown appointments. Weekly hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate.

Before accepting an assignment, the crew member will be informed of the agreed hourly rate, expected duration, meeting location, job-site address, and anticipated schedule.

Any changes to the assignment or additional hours must be communicated to the owner. All hours worked must be accurately recorded and paid in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws.

7. Performance Expectations and Professional Boundaries

A successful crew member is expected to arrive on time, work efficiently, follow directions, handle equipment responsibly, prioritize safety, and communicate problems promptly.

Any questions, customer requests, or safety concerns outside the crew member's assigned responsibilities must be referred to the owner or designated crew lead.

8. Equal Opportunity and Hiring Considerations

Dee Best Events & Rentals LLC seeks dependable individuals who can perform the essential duties of the position safely, with reasonable accommodations where applicable. Hiring and employment decisions will be made in accordance with applicable federal, Missouri, and local laws.
