Job Description:
We are hiring an experienced Release Management Lead / Director Project Manager to work for us as our direct, W2 salaried or hourly employee. In this role, you will:
- Ensure requirements are clear across all dependent project streams for effective release execution
- Manage risks and resolve challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
- Manage relationships across teams working on interrelated processes
- Oversee the development of deliverables into production environments
- Measure and monitor progress to achieve timely software releases within defined budgetary and quality standards
- Communicate crucial release plans and changes to stakeholders
- Communicate necessary release details to business teams
- Manage deployment of deliverables to the test environment
- Produce deployment, implementation, and runbook documentation
- Initiate and oversee the development of technical guides and training for external functionality, where applicable
- Conduct release readiness and milestone reviews
- Validate release notes for accuracy and completeness
- Lead and coordinate checklist and deployment plan execution
- Ensure that releases operate as expected after deployment
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10 years of IT Project Management experience
- 5 years of Release Management experience across multiple teams
- 5 years of experience managing projects for a State Medicaid agency or large healthcare organization
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 5 years of experience with Integrated Eligibility systems
- 5 years of experience in the M&O phase of the project lifecycle
- 10 years of hands-on experience with all phases of the SDLC
- Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions
- Experience using ServiceNow
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
- Proficiency with MS Project
- Proficiency with MS Visio
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong client-facing experience with State Medicaid agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, multi-release initiatives with 12β14 deliverables per release
- Experience building collaborative client relationships and managing expectations
- Experience leading matrixed teams and coordinating cross-functional activities
- Proven ability to resolve and manage risks and issues across complex environments
- Experience managing third-party vendors with contractual deliverables (e.g., Spanish Translation functionality)
