DLI is hiring experienced CDL A Utility Truck Drivers in the Hudson, WI and Des Moines, IA areas. Earn a minimum of $71,500 annually in base pay, plus $40 daily per diem, while enjoying dependable freight, consistent weekly scheduling, excellent benefits, and the stability of an established transportation company.
This Class A Utility Driver position offers a variety of assignments, including linehaul, shuttle, and dedicated auto parts delivery routes. Drivers must be comfortable staying out on the road throughout the workweek, with a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
CDL A Utility Driver Pay & Benefits
- Earn $71,500 Annually in Base Pay

CDL A Utility Driver Schedule & Position Details
- Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday
- Out on the Road: Must be available to work away from the home terminal five days each week
- Cover a variety of assignments, including linehaul, shuttle, and overnight dedicated routes
- Deliver automotive parts to car dealerships
- Average 8–12 delivery stops per day on applicable routes
- Operate an automatic transmission day cab with a 48' liftgate trailer
- Unload freight using a pallet jack on dedicated delivery routes
- Complete required inspections, delivery documentation, and DOT logs
- Maintain safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries
CDL A Utility Driver Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience required
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement Preferred
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely unload freight using a pallet jack and liftgate
- Flexibility to cover different routes and overnight assignments
- Availability to be away from the home terminal during the Tuesday–Saturday workweek
