Position Summary:
The Collection Manager is accountable for administrative collection duties, escalations, and client-facing activities, collection calls, and team member coaching. The Collection Manager reports to the VP of Collections and is responsible for supporting all efforts toward team development and team leadership, as directed by the VP of Collections.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with internal partners around the status of client files upon request.
· Respond to and address inquiries from various business units throughout the organization.
· Review and push back on compromise settlement offers submitted by a collector.
· Recommend acceptance of compromise settlement offers to the clients.
· Provide guidance or best practices to individual collectors upon request.
· Assist with escalated accounts as needed.
· Collaborate with the other Managers to optimize the overall performance of collections at Dedicated.
· Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies:
· Strategic Collections Leadership: Ability to design and execute high-impact recovery strategies across collections, litigation, and asset management to maximize results and client value.
· Regulatory & Risk Management: Deep understanding of commercial collections laws and litigation practices, with a strong focus on compliance, risk mitigation, and ethical operations.
· Operational & Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of portfolio performance, KPIs, budgeting, and forecasting to drive efficiency, profitability, and scalable growth.
· People Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop managers and cross-functional teams while fostering accountability and performance culture.
Requirements:
· 2 years of management experience in debt collections or 5 years of general management experience.
· Proven track record of project management and successful completion in a collections environment.
· Strong working knowledge of commercial collections laws and compliance.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
· Strong communication and management skills.
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and other Office product experience.
