DediCare Solutions is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to manage caregiver and client schedules in a fast-paced private-duty healthcare environment. This is an in-office position with required on-call weekend rotation and potential to work in the field with clients when needed.
This role is critical to daily operations and requires strong decision-making skills, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
· Create, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and long-term caregiver schedules
· Ensure all shifts are fully staffed in accordance with care plans.
· Respond promptly to call-offs, emergencies, and last-minute scheduling changes
· Participate in on-call weekend rotation to address urgent staffing needs
· Communicate clearly and professionally with caregivers, clients, families, and internal leadership
· Coordinate coverage using established staffing protocols
· Track availability, time off, call-offs, and shift changes accurately
· Document scheduling actions and communications consistently and thoroughly
· Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support quality care delivery
· Work shifts in the field with clients as needed.
· Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
· Minimum 1–2 years of scheduling experience, preferably in healthcare, home care, or private duty services
· Home Health Aide experience a plus.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency with scheduling software (training provided) and Microsoft Office
· Reliable attendance and dependability are essential
· Ability to work in-office and participate in on-call weekend coverage
