POSITION TITLE: Oakdale Paraprofessional
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree preferred
- Massachusetts Special Education certification preferred
REPORTS TO: Oakdale Principal
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support instruction and care for Oakdale students between grades 1-5 in inclusion classroom settings.
- Work with and support individuals or small groups of students with a range of abilities.
- Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team to support students across the curriculum
- Ability to shift instruction and provide content specific and behavioral support and interventions
- Ability to accept and implement directions
- Ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
- Work collaboratively with other educational staff within the school and district
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the total school program
- Exhibit proficiency, dependability and punctuality in assigned duties
- Strive to improve professional competence
- Display appropriate personal and professional traits that exhibit a positive role model for students
