WAREHOUSE LEAD (The Backbone of Decorus Home Staging)

Pay: $30 /hr depending on experience | Full-Time | On-Site

Decorus Home Staging is a fast-moving, high-performance luxury staging company — and our warehouse is the engine that keeps everything running with speed, precision, and infectious energy.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Lead who is hungry, emotionally intelligent, and built for leadership. Not just a “warehouse person” — someone who owns the space, protects standards, boosts morale, and leads with professionalism.

Someone who is company-motivated, not clique-motivated. Someone grateful for the opportunity, grounded, and proud to set the tone for the rest of the crew.

If that’s you? Keep reading.

Who You Are (Non-Negotiables)

  • Company-first mindset: you care about the mission, the brand, the standards.
  • Emotionally intelligent: you manage morale, not drama.
  • Change-positive: when the business moves, you move with it.
  • Fast learner: systems, processes, logistics, inventory — you pick it up quickly.
  • Efficiency-driven: you prevent mistakes, protect time, and improve workflow without being asked.
  • Solution-oriented: your default mode is: “Here’s what happened. Here’s how we fix it.”
  • Coachable accountable: you take pride in being reliable and consistent.
  • High ownership: you run the warehouse & operations like it’s yours.
  • Professional at all times: attitude, tone, communication, presence.

If you walk in with gratitude, confidence, and a fire to win as a TEAM… this role is built for you.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Lead oversees all warehouse operations, ensures flawless execution on installs and destages, maintains inventory accuracy, and sets the tone for the entire logistics department.

You’re the bridge between leadership and the field leads. You protect standards, uphold policy, and build a healthy morale rooted in accountability and excellence.

This is the next-level role above a standard logistics worker — with more responsibility, more ownership, and more influence on the success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Culture

  • Set the tone for professionalism, team morale, and work ethic.
  • Uphold company values and redirect behavior that doesn’t align.
  • Model gratitude, accountability, and strong communication.
  • Address issues immediately with maturity and emotional intelligence.
  • Support management decisions and help the team navigate change.

Warehouse & Logistics Operations

  • Manage daily warehouse workflow, staging prep, and project loadouts.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and operational flow.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed — lifting, loading, tool usage, PPE.
  • Oversee wraps, repairs, protection methods, and damage prevention.
  • Lead efficient loadouts for trucks, vans, and install schedules.

Inventory Management

  • Track incoming and outgoing inventory, including replenishment needs.
  • Oversee receiving, assembling, and staging load outs and load ins, of new inventory.
  • Maintain accurate counts, labeling, and proper storage systems.
  • Identify inventory gaps affecting staging quality and bring solutions.

Field Execution

  • Support design team with professional, timely installs and removals.
  • Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide solutions quickly.
  • Ensure safety and company standards are followed in the field.
  • Protect assets and ensure all inventory returns damage-free.

Additional Project & Support Duties

  • Provide feedback to management proactively through EOD reporting/ Slack Messages
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding & offboarding new warehouse/logistics staff.
  • Support leadership by removing tasks from their plate — not adding to it.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years in warehouse, logistics, moving, or field operations.
  • Prior leadership experience required
  • Strong understanding of warehouse flow, safety, and inventory systems.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Clean driver’s record and confidence driving box trucks/vans.
  • Confident using tools (drills, saws, assembly tools, etc.).
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and communication skills.
  • Experience building a team or participating in hiring is a major plus.

Who Thrives in This Role

People who:

  • Take pride in being the strong, steady leader behind the scenes.
  • Love bringing order, clarity, and calm to a fast-moving environment.
  • Want to be part of a growing company where their impact actually matters.
  • Care more about the company’s success than popularity politics.
  • Treat the warehouse like their own — with ownership, honor, and effort.
