What are the responsibilities and job description for the Holiday Lighting and Decor Laborer - Seasonal position at DecorIQ LLC?
This position is Seasonal, from June 2026 - February 2027
Purpose of Job:
Works under the general supervision of the crew supervisor and/or Project Manager and performs general installation of Seasonal and Holiday Lights and Decorations at various project sites.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and report a complete and accurate tool inventory.
• Frequent travel, including extending days/weeks assignments, based on operational needs.
• Assist crew supervisor with daily inspection of vehicle to include i.e. lights, brakes, tire pressure, wipers, fluid levels etc. Report critical vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Assists with loading of equipment and décor items on trucks and trailers each day.
• Working knowledge of tools and equipment including ladders, backpack blowers, climbing gear and basic tools.
• Organize and prepare stock of holiday décor material
• Will be required to prepare lights and decorations for installation
• Assist with daily holiday installations, including tasks that require using a ladder.
Job Qualifications:
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• 1 years of Holiday Lighting & Décor installation or related field preferred.
• Driver’s License clean driving record is preferred
• Authorization to work in the US (must provide proper documentation)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Ability to travel to different job sites on multi-day/multi-weeks assignments
• Good communication skills.
• Must follow directions and adhere to all safety standards at all times.
• Must have a good work ethic.
• Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees, customers and the public.
• Ability to follow specific instructions accurately.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
• Physical demands: Full range of mobility in upper and lower body; overhead reaching; ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time; lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday; pulling and pushing materials and equipment.
• Working conditions: This position works indoors and outdoors to include in fluctuating weather conditions and climates. The employee may be exposed to dust, odors and fumes on occasion. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
• Travel to project sites outside of San Antonio Metropolitan area, to include other States may be required. In the event of travel related work, travel and housing expenses are paid by the company.
• Will be required to work nights and/or days depending on specific project.
• Overtime during peak season may be required.
