What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi Driver - Olmsted Aggregate position at DeCook Excavating?
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer to transport material to and from various job site locations in a timely manner
- Communicate with dispatch, equipment operators, customers and office staff to ensure correct product/delivery location
- Verify products requested and loaded for accuracy
- Verify weights to ensure equipment does not exceed weight restrictions or local laws
- Complete pre and post trip inspection tractor and trailer
- Clean/grease equipment on a weekly basis
- Maintain and complete truck logs, both paper and electronic
- Report equipment repairs in a timely manner
- Comply with all company safety policies, DOT regulations and traffic laws
- Maintain Class A CDL and Health Card
Requirements:
- Class A CDL required
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must be 18
- Previous side dump experience preferred but not required
- Able to meet physical demands of the job
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen
- Ability to perform physical job duties including climbing, security loads and equipment inspections
