Summary
DeConna Ice Cream is seeking to hire an organized, dependable Route Delivery Driver to deliver products safely and efficiently to convenience stores, schools, and other local businesses along a preset route.
This route will start out daily in the Marianna/Cottondale Florida area.
The ideal candidate has route delivery experience, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to safe, courteous driving. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be willing to cross-train, and complete additional tasks as needed.
DeConna is a drug free work environment, a drug test will be required. As well as a background and MVR check .
Preferred and Required Qualifications
- Route delivery experience preferred
- Clean motor vehicle record required
- Drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check required
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods along assigned routes
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Follow the planned routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for by the recipient
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Skills:
- Experience with refrigerated and perishable goods
- Knowledge of warehouse operations to facilitate loading procedures
- Prior experience in route driving and delivery services
