This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Decolonize All is seeking a volunteer to conduct comprehensive grant research to support our documentary work, college workshop curriculum development, and career-pathing programs. The goal of this project is to produce a prioritized list of relevant grant opportunities. For each identified grant, the volunteer will provide: - Eligibility requirements - Application deadlines - Funding ranges (where available) - Application links - Brief notes on how the opportunity fits our specific programs
Identifying grant opportunities will help secure funding to create culturally grounded curricula, produce documentaries that document and teach community foundations, and expand STEAM career pathways and industry mentorships for underrepresented students—directly advancing Decolonise All’s mission.
Details will be provided during volunteer interviews. We will share program summaries and contacts as available, meet regularly to review findings, and be prepared to follow up on promising leads so the volunteer’s research can be acted on by our team.
Decolonise All Mission: The mission of Decolonise All is to create curriculum for underrepresented communities to learn about the foundation of their cultures, leading into the current status of their culture and how they can develop and use their tools in their current society to empower their communities. The way this will be done is to also create career pathways in STEAM (Science Technology Education Art Math) with Industry to increase representation in STEAM and Industry by partnering college institutions with Industry partners for mentorship programs.
