Position Objective
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting the quality assurance processes within the organization. This role involves maintaining quality systems, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, researching customer problem-solving related to defective parts, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Quality Technician will collaborate with various departments to enhance product quality and drive process improvements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including process flowcharts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure that all quality records are accurately documented and stored according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement in production processes and quality systems.
- Support the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, performance, and project outcomes to management.
- Blueprint Reading and interpretation
Customer Problem-Solving:
- Research customer complaints and issues related to defective parts.
- Analyze returned defective parts and work with engineering and production teams to identify root causes.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve customer problems effectively and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that all corrective actions related to customer complaints are documented and tracked.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality.

- Must be able to lift 40 pounds infrequently and 25 pounds often.
Education and Training
- Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Production, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in a quality-related role is preferred.
