Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff, providing clear managerial communication and fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Oversee the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular safety audits, enforce safety protocols, and promote OSHA compliance to maintain a secure work environment.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and managing documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on continuous training initiatives related to warehouse operations and materials handling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with demonstrated team leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience operating forklift trucks and other heavy material handling equipment; certification preferred.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling and heavy lifting procedures.
- Ability to implement process improvements using lean management techniques to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
