Role Description
Decked Out Charters is seeking a motivated Sales & Onboarding Intern to support broker outreach, lead research, and client qualification for the company’s online platform and digital solutions.
This is a flexible, commission-based role with pay earned per fully qualified broker or business client successfully onboarded onto the platform. The workflow will be primarily remote and asynchronous, with meetings held over Google Meet and occasional in-person check-ins once a week.
The intern will assist with identifying, researching, and qualifying potential business clients, supporting outreach efforts, and helping move prospective partners through the onboarding process. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in B2B sales, pipeline management, client communication, and relationship-building within a luxury-focused startup environment.
Responsibilities
Research and identify potential yacht brokers, charter companies, and luxury service partners.
Support sales outreach through thoughtful messaging, follow-ups, and professional communication.
Help qualify prospective business clients and determine whether they are a strong fit for the platform.
Assist with onboarding communication and help guide new partners through the platform setup process.
Maintain organized notes, prospect lists, and outreach updates.
Support the team with sales strategy, market research, and client relationship-building.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal communication, professional email writing, and the ability to present information clearly.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify qualified prospects and gather useful market insights.
- Comfortable writing outreach messages, follow-ups, and concise documentation that aligns with a polished brand voice.
- Interest or experience in sales, client communication, onboarding, training, or explaining software features in a clear and patient way.
- Comfortable working with online tools, spreadsheets, presentations, CRM systems, or sales platforms.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or has equivalent practical experience.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing tasks in a flexible hybrid environment.
- Interest in luxury services, hospitality, yachting, or maritime experiences is a plus.
- Prior exposure to B2B sales, SaaS products, or client-facing work is also a plus.
Compensation
This is a commission-based role. Compensation is earned per fully qualified broker or business client successfully onboarded onto the Decked Out Charters platform.
