Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our DecisionOne Dental offices by managing outstanding insurance claims, resolving denials, and ensuring accurate payment posting. This role plays a key part in lowering accounts receivable and bad debt while increasing collections and maintaining accurate insurance plan records.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our DecisionOne Dental offices by managing outstanding insurance claims, resolving denials, and ensuring accurate payment posting. This role plays a key part in lowering accounts receivable and bad debt while increasing collections and maintaining accurate insurance plan records.
- Review and run outstanding insurance claims reports for designated offices on a monthly basis
- Contact insurance carriers and utilize online portals to research claim status and resolve unpaid claims
- Resubmit claims with required documentation and follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain clear and detailed records in patient accounts, documenting all communication with insurance representatives
- Support offices with EOB troubleshooting — review claim payments, compare fee schedules, and verify necessary adjustments
- Maintain office action lists and assist with patient or clinical follow-ups
- Report credentialing and fee schedule changes to the appropriate team
- Assist with patient account audits to ensure billing accuracy
- Enter insurance payments and adjustments accurately into the practice management system
- 1 years of dental billing or insurance experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines
- Proficiency with dental or medical practice management systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Organized, dependable, and able to multitask effectively
