What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Accountant, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central position at Decision Systems LLC?
This role supports a small IT services firm that is looking to move our accounting system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role is part-time with the opportunity to work partially remote, but must regularly attend in-person meetings in Golden, Colorado. We are a veteran-owned business and will prioritize evaluating any veteran applicants for this role.
Responsibilities
- Help transition from multiple instances of QBO into a multiple company setup in D365 Business Central
- Combine records from multiple entities from an acquisition and reorganization of entities into a new clean chart of accounts with intracompany transactions between entities
- Manage integration of the ERP/Accounting system and process flows with a separate system that generates invoices and a separate payment platform
- Manage AR and AP transactions in D365 BC
- Provide regular reports on financial performance
- Advise business leadership on financial performance with problem analysis and solution recommendations
- Setup and maintain cost performance and budgeting functions
Qualifications
- Must have qualifying past experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV, preferably in IT software and services
- Must have an Accounting degree or equivalent qualifying experience
- Must have excellent communication skills for working with an executive leadership team
- Must be able to manage tasks to deadlines and take ownership of job duties and responsibilities
- Must be able to meet in person regularly at offices in Golden, Colorado, in addition to remote work
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must demonstrate the ability to apply Accounting knowledge and knowledge of the Dynamics Business Central system to innovate and problem solve
