Job Title: MES Infrastructure Support Engineer
Location: Minnetonka, Minnesota (Onsite)
Summary: The MES Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide L2/L3 operational support for our global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) infrastructure across various manufacturing sites. This role is critical in ensuring the availability, performance, patching, backup/restore, and disaster recovery of the MES systems while adhering to IT/OT constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 support for MES infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Manage patching, backup/restore processes, and disaster recovery plans for MES systems.
- Administer Windows and Linux servers, including virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Oversee storage and backup operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Support basic database operations for MES backends, primarily using SQL.
- Implement scripting and automation solutions using PowerShell and Bash to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage configuration and patch management processes to maintain system security and performance.
- Ensure core IT/OT services (Active Directory, DNS, NTP, certificates) are functioning optimally.
- Follow incident, change, and problem management practices to resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Document processes, incidents, and solutions rigorously to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proven experience in infrastructure support, specifically within MES environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with storage and backup operations and monitoring.
- Basic database support skills, particularly with SQL.
- Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell/Bash).
- Understanding of configuration and patch management practices.
- Knowledge of core IT/OT services (AD/DNS/NTP, certificates) and system hardening techniques.
- Experience with incident, change, and problem management practices.

Salary : $65 - $70
