Job Title: ACI MTS Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced ACI MTS Engineer responsible for designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting ACI MTS (Money Transfer System) applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in payment processing, transaction systems, ACI products, and production support within banking or financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support ACI MTS applications and payment processing solutions.
• Configure and maintain ACI MTS components, transaction flows, interfaces, and system parameters.
• Develop and support payment processing workflows for ACH, wire transfers, card payments, and other electronic transactions.
• Troubleshoot application, transaction, interface, and production issues.
• Monitor payment transactions and investigate failed, rejected, or delayed transactions.
• Work with business teams, product owners, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Perform system integration with internal and external banking/payment platforms.
• Develop and maintain interfaces using APIs, MQ, REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, and file-based integrations.
• Analyze logs and transaction data to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
• Participate in application deployments, upgrades, patches, and environment migrations.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and participate in on-call rotations when required.
• Create technical documentation, deployment procedures, support guides, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Ensure payment applications comply with security, availability, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.

Required Skills

• 8 years of experience in ACI MTS / ACI Worldwide payment systems.
• Strong understanding of payment processing and transaction lifecycle.
• Experience with ACI MTS configuration, development, integration, and production support.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or DB2.
• Hands-on experience with MQ / IBM WebSphere MQ or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and file-based interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with application monitoring and production support.
• Understanding of banking/payment technologies such as ACH, wires, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT, or related payment standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ACI Enterprise Payment Platform (EPP) or other ACI payment products.
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 payment messaging.
• Experience with SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, RTP, or real-time payments.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or payment processing environments.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
