Role Overview
We’re hiring a Quantitative Researcher to help scale Paxos Labs’s DeFi risk analysis capabilities. You will work on reimagining on-chain liquidity strategies by applying advanced quantitative methods from both TradFi and DeFi, contributing to risk curation and yield optimization across the DeFi ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of yield-generating opportunities across protocols and blockchains.
Collaborate with engineers on strategy execution and integration.
Design and manage algorithm development and backtesting for actionable insights on DeFi portfolio management.
Create frameworks for risk analysis and portfolio optimization.
Monitor data, forecast risk, and design triggers to enter opportunistic strategies or exit major market events early
Core Qualifications
Deep knowledge in risk management, including financial and statistical concepts for measuring risk and optimizing portfolios.
Deep knowledge of DeFi protocols—including liquid staking, AMMs, lending protocols, perp DEXs, and RFQ/router mechanisms.
Familiarity with data engineering fundamentals.
Experience managing a book (or portfolio) in TradFi or DeFi contexts, across tokens, loan books, or other strategic assets.
Experience applying rigorous statistical methods to portfolio analysis and strategy evaluation.
