Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Social Worker / Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role blends client interaction with financial responsibilities, requiring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and comfort working with budgets and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact at reception, including answering phones and greeting clients
- Communicate regularly with clients and case workers to address needs and questions
- Assist with account and fund management for client accounts
- Develop and monitor client budgets
- Help make informed decisions regarding client spending and financial allocations
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications:
- Background in social work, human services, accounting, or related field preferred
- Experience working with vulnerable populations is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable handling financial information and basic accounting tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to balance empathy with financial responsibility and structure
