deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Radar Operator in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking a radar operator to work with our radar operations team supporting modeling, simulation and test of a radar developed for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Individual will perform hands-on radar operations during simulation and test events as well as assist with system maintenance activities. The operator will be required to coordinate daily with the Program Manager and Test Event Lead for tasking and problem resolution.
Additional responsibilities include daily interaction with analysts, engineers, other members of the technical team and MDA customers. Deployment to the operational site in support of the MDA distributed and flight tests may be required. Individuals with previous experience developing operational procedures and conducting MDA ground tests utilizing Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) radar representations and/or direct experience with fielded radar systems will find this work challenging and rewarding. Education Requirements:
Vocational school certification or Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a computer science or network engineering related field.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of technical experience operating missile defense radars.
- Demonstratable communication skills is required.
Special Skills Desired:
- MS Office, MS Windows
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
